Yesterday Flipkart confirmed that it would be launching the Motorola Moto X later today. If you are planning on buying the flagship device today, here’s everything you should know before buying it off Flipkart.
Let’s start with the pricing. Though Motorola isn’t bringing the Moto Maker (a tool that lets buyers customize their devices before buying) to India, the Moto X will be available in five color variants that also include two variants with a wooden finish. The colored variants will be priced at Rs 23,999, while the wood back variants will be priced at Rs 25,999. Flipkart also mentioned that initially only the black and the white variants will go on sale, while the other variants will be up for pre-orders.
As far as specs are concerned, unlike the Moto G, the X will only be launched in a single-SIM avatar and only get 16GB of internal storage. It features a 4.7-inch 720p display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core SoC, Motorola X8 Mobile processor, 2GB of RAM, 10-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, 2,220mAh battery and it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
Flipkart has also announced a host of launch day offers which include EMI schemes with cashback offers of up to Rs 1,000 and discounts of up to 70 percent on Moto X covers. The online retailer has also announced a sweepstakes contest wherein buyers have to answer a question and the winner will get back all the money he/she paid for the Moto X as store credit.
